A woman is ill and cannot leave her home. Through the internet, she begins to build a network with other people, finding ways to carry and be carried across the distance between them. As she creates the infrastructure that makes these encounters possible, her house becomes a place of unexpected movement, intimacy and dependence. u_me_e/o follows her through a dancerly diary of sounds, gestures and fragments of everyday life, where the smallest actions acquire new weight. Drawing on crip knowledge and the artist’s lived experience, the work explores the difficult tenderness of needing others. It asks what becomes possible when a body must learn its world, and its ways of moving through it, all over again.
